In our series of what airline customers are thinking, our mystery passenger travelled alongside a footballer for one England's top football clubs.
From 2am to 5am is, according to studies, the time when the mind and body are in deep sleep. That would explain my bitterness at having to wake up at 4:30am for a flight to Amsterdam that was leaving four hours later.
As my trip to the lovely land of tulips would involve a business meeting with a well-known aircraft lessor, I thought I would allow for a proper grooming session, which, based on previous experiences, takes exactly one hour.
After making a flask of coffee and loading the car up with CDs, I left my North London flat for the airport. The welcome caffeine boost and blaring sounds of The Beatles made the drive quite pleasing at a rather ungodly hour of day.
It was also a relief...
