Not all bad news in India – says IndiGo CFO Peermohammed

With falling passenger numbers, stories about airlines struggling to pay bills and new deliveries adding to capacity next year, these are tough times in India.

However, Riyaz Peermohammed, chief financial officer of low-cost carrier IndiGo says that some carriers will do well.

"Passenger numbers for the whole of the market are going down but this reflects a rise in average fares, as these go down passengers will return," said  Peermohammed. who joined IndiGo from Emirates Airlines.
