Stock prices recover for listed lessors

The four listed aircraft leasing companies released third-quarter results showing an increase in stock prices from last year.

AerCap, Aircastle, Babcock & Brown and Genesis Lease reported third quarter results last week. Though income might be down in certain cases, all four companies’ share prices are up compared to November 2008.

 

Genesis recorded a $3 million net loss for the quarter compared with a $11.4 million net profit for the same period in 2008. For the nine months ending in September, Genesis’s net income was $11.3, dropping from the $30.3 million last year. Its share price on Monday morning was $8.75, compared to $3.98 in November last year.
