Values and lease rates are holding up pretty well for the Embraer 190. Not only have there been very few of this aircraft type available in the market, but also the E190 has continues to have a stable backlog. As one of the larger regional jets available, it offers a cost-efficient option for regional operators, low-cost carriers and feeder airlines for flag carriers.
The E190 entered into service in 2002 and it is the second-largest regional jet the Brazilian manufacture sells. It has a larger capacity compared with Bombardiers CRJ900, with 98 to 114 seats. JetBlue Airways, the US low-cost carrier, which has a fleet of 41 E190s, was Embraers first customer for the aircraft type, which comes in three variants: standard, long-range (LR) and advanced-range (AR). The E190AR is the most popular variant with about 173 in operation.
