Air Berlin sheds 12 aircraft

Air Berlin will sell seven aircraft and complete an additional five sale/leasebacks in order to improve its financials.

Air Berlin, will sell a total of seven aircraft to two carriers and arrange five sale/leasebacks to reduce its net liabilities.

The German carrier will sell three Boeing 737-800s to Jackson Square Aviation, formerly Sky Holding. The aircraft are on lease to Shenzhen Airlines in China.
