Exclusive: DAE restructures aircraft orderbook

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) is restructuring its orders by moving aircraft orders to Emirates and flydubai.

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) will restructure its 200 aircraft orders with Airbus and Boeing though a deal with two Dubai airlines, according to two senior executives with knowledge of the talks.

The company, which has over 200 aircraft on order with Airbus and Boeing, is expected to shift the orders to Emirates and flydubai, according to the sources.

On June 8 Emirates surprised the market by announcing an order for 32 A380s. Airfinance Journal understands that these aircraft were part of the restructuring with Airbus. Airbus would not comment on whether the aircraft were moved from DAE to Emirates.
