Awas looking to acquire portfolios

The leasing company is working on additional portfolio trades, after announcing the acquisition of three aircraft this week.

Ray Sisson, CEO, Awas, says the Dublin lessor has $800 million in cash to spend on aircraft acquisitions. The lessor is looking for both new and old aircraft, including widebodies and narrowbodies. Regional jets, however, are not on the company’s shopping list.

He says that there is no effective limit to the lessor’s funding, given the right deal, but did not specify how much is set aside for portfolio acquisitions.
